I didn't get too much stamping done today and some of what I stamped I can't show here yet,
but I did manage to sneak in this little card. As I was filing some card stock scraps last night I came across this butterfly image from the A Touch of Nature set a while ago on shimmery white card stock. I must have had an idea of what I wanted to do with this image when I first stamped it, but for the life of me I couldn't remember it tonight, so I went back to the drawing board and came up with this card.
I watercolored the butterfly using my aquapainter and apricot appeal, groovy guava and really rust classic inks. I punched corners using the designer babel punch and layered the image onto a layer of Really Rust card stock with similarly punched corners (the tutorial for how I punched the corners is in this post). I then stamped the word "wonderful" in close to cocoa ink on a piece of shimmery white card stock and cut a larger mat of really rust. I used the rectangle punch to create two slots for the chocolate chip satin ribbon and attached the sentiment over the ribbon with a dimensional. I wrapped the ribbon around a strip of the Apple Cider Double Sided Designer Series Paper and attached the image over the ribbon to the designer paper with dimensionals. I then layered the complete ensemble onto a close to cocoa card base. And there you have it -- a very quick card.
