Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone! For those of you in the United States -- Happy Thanksgiving!

I started off my Thanksgiving by building my vocabulary and donating rice to hungry people at the same time at http://www.freerice.com/. It somehow seemed appropriate given how much food we Americans are going to eat today beyond what we need to survive or what is good for us.

If you have a moment, check it out. For every word definition you get right you're basically donating 10 grains of rice to the world's hungry. Free to you and invaluable to them. And it's fun! I donated 1000 grains this morning and added a link to the sidebar of the blog so that it's easy for me to go there daily. I hope, if you have time, you'll do the same!

Cool Workout for your brain!

For those of you who never scroll down past the first article, I would encourage you to do so today to check out the Workout for Your Brain section in the right hand column. There is some truly interesting stuff there today. For example, did you know Titanic sank today? Or that today is Leonardo DaVinci's birthday (figures he was an Aries!)? Or that Two Bald Eagles just hatched on Catalina Island for the first time in 50 years? Very cool! The Match-Up game is kind of fun today too! Enjoy!
