Just because Christmas is over doesn't mean that you have to put away your Christmas stamp sets, especially the Winter Post set that has the perfect image to use for Valentine's day.
For this card I stamped the skaters in basic brown on a piece of very vanilla card stock. I used my blender pen and pink pirouette, close to cocoa and riding hood red inks to color in the skaters. I also sponged the edges with riding hood red ink, before mounting the image on a close to cocoa mat.
I took a piece of the Candy Lane designer series paper and wrapped a piece of wide pink pirouette grosgrain ribbon around the length of the paper. I then pinched the ribbon using a styled vanilla hodgepodge hardware brad and mounted the designer paper onto a piece of close to cocoa card stock.
I attached the skater image over the ribbon with stampin' dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Many Happy Returns set in riding hood red ink on a piece of pink pirouette card stock. I punched the sentiment out with the designer label punch, trimming the label straight at the top and bottom. I punched another designer label shape and attached it to the back of the pink pirouette piece, before inserting the label into a styled vanilla hodgepodge hardware designer label holder. I attached the holder to the close to cocoa card stock using two styled vanilla brads. I then mounted the close to cocoa card stock onto the very vanilla card base.
I think this is a very sweet card and I love the fact that I got to use the Winter Post set just a little bit longer. Keep in mind that this set will only be available until January 18, so if it's not in your collection yet, be sure to add it to your next order.
