My challenge card

As promised, I'm uploading my card entry for my Sunday Morning challenge. It's funny, but this really was a challenge for me.

You would think that since I picked the sketch, colors and the set to use for the challenge, designing the card would be easy, but it really was not. It still took me a while to decide which colors would be used where, which background stamps to use and which sentiment.

I finally decided that I wanted to use all sets that were going to retire in June. So I stamped the cheesecloth background in apricot appeal ink onto the apricot appeal base. I then stamped a background from petite patterns in certainly celery onto the certainly celery strip. I added a basic black mat to give the main image a little definition and stamped the flower in basic black ink. the image was colored with apricot appeal and certainly celery stampin' write markers. I then used the direct to paper technique to color the edge of the whisper white card stock in certainly celery. I then added a black gingham ribbon knot, attached with a glue dot.

The sentiment is "enjoy happiness" from Expressive Flexible Phrases. I stamped it in certainly celery on whisper white card stock and punched it out with the word window punch. I created the apricot appeal and basic black mats out of strips of card stock and the 1/2" and 3/4" circle punches. I then added two black eyelets for some extra interest and popped up both the sentiment and the main image on dimensionals.

I do like the final product, but now I'm dying to see what you all come up with. It seems that Steph and Tracy do not own this set, so the rest of you will have to fill in. Just leave a comment with a link to your card or e-mail it to me so I can upload it here. Also, feel free to leave a suggestion for a set to use next week, and maybe we'll play again!
