Return of the Mojo

Well, my stamping mojo made a triumphant return today.

I know, I shouldn't be overly proud of my self, but I finally created a masculine card that I really like, and here it is. TO make this card I started with a creamy caramel base stamped with the crosshatch background. I used some Notations double sided designer paper for the border and stamped the calendar with a stamp from the Office Accoutrement set. The Happy Father's Day sentiment is from the All Year Cheer II Set, which is one of 6 stamp sets on special in April (see my website for more details). I heat embossed the sentiment in classy copper on brushed copper card stock. I also used copper brads to attach the "calendar" to the cork "bulletin board". You can find thin cork rolls in the shelf liner displays at many discount and hardware stores. Or, if you prefer, you could use a sheet of sand paper for a similarly masculine look and feel.

I maybe patting myself on the back too much, but I think this is a really classy card. And I will teach others how to make the card at my Office Accoutrement class. The students will have a choice of making a double page 12x12 scrap layout of 4 cards, of which this will be one. So what do you think? Is the mojo back or am I deluding myself? Let me know.
