Happy Birthday Blogging Friend!

Thank goodness I'm nosey! If I wasn't I never would have found out that Diane (dd2njoy) started a blog. And wouldn't you know it -- today is her birthday! So if you get a chance stop on over by her blog and wish her a happy birthday!

Of course, since I didn't find out about her birthday until today, I cuoldn't send a card in time, but I quickly scurried up into the stamp room and whipped one up for her. I'll send it out tomorrow but figured I might as well post it here for her (and everyone else to see). Because of the short notice I reached for the Fun and Fast notes stamp set since, well, I needed to make something fun and fast.

I chose rose red, regal rose and chocolate chip as my pallete. Looking at this card I have a great feeling of Deja Vieu. I bet if I went through my old posts I would find this layout, maybe even in these colors. But since I was going for fun and fast, I'm not surprised my brain steered me towards the tried and true.

My favorite thing about this card are the hearts in the corners. They match the hearts obove the candles and are just perfect for someone with a February birthday. I've already posted a tutorial here about how to make the larger corner hearts with the scalloped circle punch and the idea is the same here, only I used the scalloped flower from the boho blossoms punch to get the smaller heart look.

So Happy Birthday, Diane! Hope it was a good one!
