Have you always wanted to scrap but were afraid to try or thought you had nothing to scrap about? Or do you scrap now, but only about your kids? How about joining me in making a new year's resolution for 2008 to scrap a monthly book just about you?
In 2008 I will be starting "a Book of Me" scrap club. At the end of each month in 2008 I will send out materials to all the club members to create two 8.5x11 scrap pages. The pages will be organized around a theme to fit that month (snowflakes for January, Hearts for February, etc.) and a title with the month and year will be included in each pack, but the rest will be up to you. You can use as many or as few things in the pack as you'd like. You can save the things from one month and use them on the next month's pages -- it's totally up to you. The important part is to complete a 2 page spread for every month of 2008 so that you can go back and remember what made that month special for you.
What will you scrap about? Anything that made your month! Maybe a great movie you saw, maybe a dinner out with friends, maybe a special trip, maybe a cute pair of shoes that you got a great deal on -- it really doesn't matter. You can use lots of photos or no photos -- either way it's OK. The goal is to preserve memories of those little things that make you feel good but get forgotten over time because they are not "monumental" events in your life. And after all, it's those little things -- the moments of happiness and joy -- that should be remembered.
The cost of the club will be $10.00 per month (all shipping and tax included) and will include a pack of materials with a suggested layout (which you can follow exactly, ignore completely or modify) as well as a monthly scrapbooking tip. The materials in the pack will vary from month to month, and may include brads, punched shapes, stamped images, buttons, ribbons, metal edge tags, twill, twine, and other similar pieces, but will always include the base pages, a title showing the month and year, and some coordinating card stock to use for mats and journaling.
If you'd like to share your layouts you can send me a photo of the layout and I will circulate an e-mail among the club members so we can see how different people used the pieces in their packs and what made their months special to them.
Scrapping 2 8.5x11 pages per month should take very little time, and with the materials being shipped to you you can get it done whenever it's convenient for you.
So come on, make 2008 All about you! Email me at stampwithdiane@comcast.net to join the 2008 Book of Me Scrap Club today!

That's a great idea, Diane! I do scrapbook mostly about my kids, so this is a good reminder to make a page about me once in a while. I guess my blog is mostly about me. I wish I could turn my blog into a scrapbook page. That would tell a lot about me.
